Safer From Harm Coalition Manager, Integrated Harm Reduction

Jessica Shortall is R Street’s Safer From Harm Coalition Manager. She builds and leads a diverse, bipartisan coalition supporting and amplifying R Street’s work in harm reduction.

Prior to R Street, Jessica was the vice president of corporate engagement at Freedom for All Americans and managing director at Texas Competes.

Previously, Jessica led two large business coalitions—one in Texas and one nationally—making the economic case for LGBTQ inclusion at work and in our communities. Jessica’s career has spanned the fields of public health, education, nutrition and human rights, and she was the first director of social impact at TOMS Shoes.

Jessica is the author of Work. Pump. Repeat: The New Mom’s Survival Guide to Breastfeeding and Going Back to Work (Abrams, 2015).

Jessica received her MBA in social entrepreneurship at University of Oxford and her bachelor’s degree in art history at Wake Forest University. She was also a Skoll scholar at University of Oxford.

She lives in Greater Minneapolis with her husband, two kids and two rescue dogs.
