Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats
The R Street Institute’s Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats team focuses on highlighting cyber vulnerabilities and protecting sensitive information for both individuals and government in a way that enhances economic growth and innovation.
The Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats (CSET) team promotes reasonable federal and state data security and privacy reforms to protect personal information, shield against identity theft, and strengthen consumer confidence, while discouraging government overreach. Most notably, the CSET team is in favor of establishing a national data security and data privacy law to reduce data security and national security risks, promote global competitiveness, and provide all Americans with privacy protections.
