Casey Witte is a research and policy associate for the Criminal Justice and Civil Liberties Team at the R Street Institute. He provides general research support to members of the Criminal Justice and Civil Liberties Team, writes op-eds and policy studies, offers administrative support as needed and conducts advocacy-based educational outreach to state and federal lawmakers.
Before joining R Street, Casey was the director of marketing for a Florida-based law firm and a research assistant at the University of Florida. As the director of marketing, he conducted data analysis and formulated marketing strategies to more effectively reach potential clients through various contact channels. As a research assistant, he worked in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) as well as the Warrington College of Business, where he helped to produce academic content in the areas of campaign finance regulations and U.S. Constitutional history.
Casey graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor’s degrees in political science and business and a certificate in public affairs.
