Analysis Lehrer at the Aleph Institute’s ASKS Summit
R Street President Eli Lehrer took part recently in the Alternative Sentencing Key Stakeholder (ASKS) Summit, hosted in Washington by the Aleph Institute. Eli moderated a panel March 8, the second day of the summit, on whether federal criminal justice reform legislation would pass and whether it would make a difference. Panelists included John Malcolm of the Heritage Foundation, Jesselyn McCurdy of the American Civil Liberties Union and Nicole Austin-Hillery of the Brennan Center for Justice.
