From Washington Internet Daily:

Redl “could provide leadership” for the NTIA reauthorization process by providing guidance to the subcommittee on his priorities for the agency, a tech lobbyist noted. Redl was recused from working on the reauthorization efforts while he was House Communications’ chief GOP counsel. Confirmation of Redl “would certainly help” advance NTIA reauthorization even though he would be “starting fresh” as a member of the agency, said R Street Institute Tech Policy Manager Tom Struble. “He’s been at House Commerce and CTIA for years so he would bring in that knowledge of the telecom world and spectrum policy,” but career NTIA staffers also can provide expertise on reauthorization, Struble said.
