About Nick
Nick Zaiac focused his research and writing on postal reform, shipping, transportation and infrastructure, occupational licensing and other regulatory issues.
Prior to joining R Street, Nick was a graduate fellow at George Mason University’s Mercatus Center, where he focused on roadway finance. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at the Cato Institute and was on the staff of Regulation magazine.
Nick has written on a broad range of policy areas centered on housing, transportation, urban planning and infrastructure. He is a contributor to the American Institute for Economic Research and his work has been featured in numerous national publications. He has testified before the Maryland legislature on numerous occasions and is an expert on the state’s property tax assessment appeals process.
Nick earned his bachelor’s in international relations and economics from American University and received his master’s in economics from George Mason University.
