About Nicholas
Nicholas Thielman advances R Street’s policy priorities by building relationships with federal policymakers across Congress and the executive branch. His work spans legislative engagement and policy analysis, contributing research to the organization’s Finance, Insurance, and Trade and Technology and Innovation policy portfolios.
Before joining R Street, Nicholas was a research associate at the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. His writing has appeared in National Review, RealClearMarkets, Cato at Liberty, and Regulation magazine, among other outlets.
Nicholas holds a master’s degree in political science from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international politics from Ashland University. He resides in Arlington, Virginia.
