About Alexandra
Alexandra Perez Brewer is the associate director of federal government affairs at the R Street Institute, where she leads and manages federal outreach for the Energy and Environment and Integrated Harm Reduction policy teams.
Prior to joining R Street, Alexandra served as health policy project manager at the Cato Institute, where she helped expand the reach and influence of Cato’s health policy research. She previously served the Mercatus Center at George Mason University as an outreach associate, engaging policymakers and thought leaders across a wide range of domestic policy areas.
Alexandra holds a master’s degree in public policy from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree in political science. She lives in Hyattsville, Maryland, with her husband; their dog, Oso; and their cat, Gibby.
