You won’t want to miss this!

README, the new cybersecurity publication from Synack, and the R Street Institute’s Making Space Initiative have teamed up to throw a party and networking event to salute the people and organizations helping build a more diverse and inclusive infosec community.

Just a few blocks from ShmooCon, come and learn more about their efforts and hear directly from people in the field about the real need for initiatives that break down barriers in cyber.

In addition to networking and drinks at Jack Rose, NPR Cybersecurity Correspondent Jenna McLaughlin will moderate a lively and intimate talk, Meet the Trailblazers Pushing for Inclusion and Diversity in Cybersecurity, featuring:

Bridget Bean, Assistant Director for the Integrated Operations Division, U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

Michaela Barnett, Founder, Blacks in Cybersecurity

Jumoke Dada, Project Manager, Making Space

T. Nicole Montgomery, Cybersecurity Operations Lead, Accenture Federal Services

Rhette Wallach, Ethical Hacker, Synack Red Team

You’ll also hear more about README and the new Changelog newsletter from Blake Sobczak, README’s managing editor, and more about R Street and Making Space from Tatyana Bolton, Policy Director, Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats, R Street.

Please join us for an evening of great food, drinks, networking and compelling conversation!
