About Nicholas
Nicholas Thielman is a federal government affairs associate at the R Street Institute, where he helps drive the organization’s engagement with Congress and federal agencies. His work spans legislative analysis, policy research, stakeholder outreach, and strategic communications across a range of public policy issues.
Before joining R Street, Nicholas was a research associate at the Cato Institute’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives. His writing has appeared in National Review, RealClearMarkets, Cato at Liberty, and Regulation magazine, among other outlets.
He holds a master’s degree in political science from George Mason University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and international politics from Ashland University. Nicholas resides in Arlington, Virginia.
