We’re continuing the conversation today on police reform following the death of Tyre Nichols at the hands of 5 Memphis police officers. Many are calling on President Biden to act. Meanwhile Senators are looking to revive police reform talks and pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act. But Jillian Snider from R Street Institute says that the federal government and Biden’s 2022 executive order don’t really have an impact on policing at the state and local level.
