Ryan Crow
Vice President, Organizational Performance & Advancement
Ryan Crow is vice president of Organizational Performance and Advancement at the R Street Institute, where he strengthens organizational effectiveness, supports program excellence across the policy portfolio, and develops scalable systems that underpin institutional resilience.
He previously served as executive vice president of Overseas Strategic Consulting, a firm specializing in project management and strategic communications supporting economic, judicial, regulatory, and national security initiatives. Prior to that, Ryan provided training on foreign policy formulation and political organization in Thailand as part of the International Republican Institute. He also conducted research, taught, and developed curricula at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. He has also served as a consultant to the U.S. government on proliferation security issues and has worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Science.
Ryan earned a master’s degree in political science (security studies) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003 and graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College in 2002 with majors in biology and anthropology. He also holds a certificate from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he studied government, international relations, and political anthropology.
He lives outside Philadelphia with his wife, two daughters, two goofy dogs, three cats, and two fish.
