About Rebecca

Rebecca Kendall is R Street’s vice president of strategy. She contributes and facilitates strategic thinking and leadership, and builds strategic capabilities across the organization. Or, in her words, she “helps R Street to be the best it can be.”

Rebecca’s R Street journey started as manager of strategy, progressing to director, then senior director before joining the Executive Team. Prior to joining R Street, she worked in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Cambodia. She brings a wealth of experience in capacity building nonprofits to strengthen strategy, operations, and program outcomes. 

Rebecca earned her master’s degree in international development and non-governmental organization management from the University of East London and her bachelor’s degree with honors in psychology from the University of Melbourne.

She lives in Maryland with her husband, Zak. While currently between pets, her garden is frequently visited by an array of birds and pollinators, and the occasional unwelcome groundhog.
