About Hammad
Hammad Kamal oversees all accounting and audit activities, programmatic budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
Prior to joining R Street, he worked in the international development sector for over eight years. He was a senior grants and finance officer for a global project that focused on internet freedom and governance issues at Counterpart International. Before that, he was a grant accountant at the American Bar Association, supporting their international grant portfolio.
Hammad earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Richmond and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
He lives in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife and son.
