Ed Tarnowski

Resident Fellow, Technology and Innovation

Ed Tarnowski is a resident fellow on the R Street Institute’s Technology and Innovation team, where he conducts research, writes and produces multimedia content on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other emerging technology issues. He also participates in panel discussions and policy briefings.

His work focuses on advancing a free-market approach to technology policy that encourages private-sector innovation, strengthens American leadership and promotes human flourishing.

Before joining R Street, Tarnowski served as a policy and advocacy director at EdChoice, the legacy foundation of Milton and Rose Friedman.

Tarnowski holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Rhode Island. He lives in Washington, D.C.
