Courtney “Cat” Buoncore edits blog posts, op-eds, proposals, regulatory comments and rapid response content for the organization.

Prior to R Street, she was a wilderness fellow with the Society for Wilderness Stewardship where she analyzed ecological integrity and developed wilderness education plans for several ranger districts. In 2018, she worked as a wilderness ranger in Washington State.

During Cat’s studies at Princeton University, she focused on coupled human and natural systems, culminating in a thesis about ecological sustainability and international tourism in New Zealand’s National Parks.

She lives in Hopewell, New Jersey.
