About Lauren
Lauren Mitchell supported the director of business development, working with the operations and policy teams to implement a fundraising strategy to grow policy programs.
She previously worked in international development, where she spent nearly a decade working on democracy and governance programs. She comes to R Street from Counterpart International, where she provided programmatic oversight and partnership development to a global project focused on internet governance and freedom issues. Prior to her position with Counterpart, Lauren worked at the Eurasia Foundation, supporting e-governance, civic engagement and anti-corruption policy work as a program officer.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and legal studies from Virginia Tech, and a master’s in political science from James Madison University.
