Overview
In 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice and more than half of states filed a complaint accusing Ticketmaster and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, of illegally monopolizing multiple parts of the live event industry. Public frustration with live event ticketing is at an all-time high, but is this antitrust case necessary or sufficient to alleviate competitive issues in the industry?
