Strong Towns Southern California Regional Gathering

On Thursday, December 5th, the Southern California Regional Gathering brings the power of Strong Towns to bear on the issues facing the communities of Southern California. Join Chuck Marohn and the Strong Towns team to discuss the basics of Strong Towns thinking, strategies for effective neighborhood investment, and the way transportation systems shape a strong town. This region-specific gathering will also include a roundtable discussion on the pros and cons of redevelopment agencies and speakers from regional organizations. Admission to the gathering also includes an evening screening of the documentary film Owned: A Tale of Two Americas, plus a Q&A with Chuck and Owned director Giorgio Angelini. All gathering attendees will receive a copy of Chuck’s new book, Strong Towns: A Bottom-Up Revolution to Rebuild American Prosperity.

Are you a gathering attendee whose interest in Strong Towns thinking includes focused efforts at solving a specific problem in your community? Join us at the Delhi Center in Santa Ana on Friday, December 6th for a hands-on strategic planning workshop. This smaller, more focused extension of the regional gathering is designed to equip you with a concrete plan to effect real change in your place. Space is limited, so register now to reserve your seat! In addition to a copy of the Strong Towns book, each Friday participant will also receive a copy of Tactical Urbanism by Mike Lydon and Anthony Garcia.

Regional gathering ticket-holders are also guaranteed seats at the free pre-gathering kickoff Strong America Presentation at the Frida Cinema, at 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 4th. Just add a free Strong America Presentation ticket to your gathering ticket purchase!
