Pandemics and Public Policy—What is the Role of Insurance?

Joins us for an informed and candid discussion about the appropriate role for property/casualty insurance in relation to pandemics. The COVID-19 pandemic has prompted discussions about insurance coverage issues at unprecedented levels including state and federal legislation and presidential briefings. Litigation abounds and public policy solutions involving the insurance industry to varying degrees have been advanced. Our expert panelists will review proposals and offer their thoughts on whether and how the insurance industry should be part of the solution to the problem that pandemics present.
