Locked Out of Work: Occupational Licensing and Barriers to Employment for Justice-Involved Individuals
Finding work is vital for those with criminal records to rebuild their lives. Unfortunately, one in four American jobs requires an occupational license from the government. Licensing creates high costs and barriers for all of society, but the barriers are often worse for those who have a criminal record. Join R Street Institute as we discuss occupational licensing, how barriers to employment operate, and why reforms are necessary.
A light reception will follow the panel.
