Description: Non-Profit advocates play an active role in shaping communications and technology laws and policies. Working for these organizations can require a unique set of skills and interests from government and private sector positions. This event will feature practitioners at various stages in their careers who have worked in non-profit advocacy organizations. They will discuss their experiences pursuing opportunities and working at these organizations, provide advice on landing a position at such organizations in both the early and later stages of one’s career, and address potential challenges of transitioning from the government or private sector to a non-profit (and vice versa). Following the panel discussions, guests will have the opportunity to asks questions directly to non-profit practitioners during a break-out session.
