In another recent report, “Ensuring Safe Elections,” a bipartisan team provides a cost analysis for elections in five states (Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Pennsylvania). The authors find that state and local governments need more federal funding than what Congress provided through the CARES Act in order to run safe and secure elections in 2020.
