R Street’s Matt Germer Weighs in on Mail-In Voting

R Street’s, Matt Germer, Policy Director, Governance, was recently quoted in The Washington Post’s, The 5-Minute Fix, on the topic of mail-in voting.

“The president is wildly overplaying his hand,” Matt Germer, the director of the governance program at the R Street Institute, a conservative think tank, told me last year when Trump first proposed banning mail voting. “There are trade-offs to voting by mail but by and large it is a secure method for voting, and it is also a necessary part of our voting system.”
