R Street’s Guide to Policy Panels at SXSW 2018
In addition to its high-profile music and film festivals, Austin’s South By Southwest (SXSW) also hosts one of the biggest annual gatherings of technologists, activists, government officials, entrepreneurs and academics in the country.
While SXSW offers incredible opportunities to mingle with like-minded individuals and promote free-market ideas about tech policy, it can also be a difficult landscape to navigate. How does one choose from so many panels covering the same topic: blockchain? We’ve been told it’ll fix everything.
Each year, we publish a guide offering our assessments of the best policy-focused events. Check it out below. A (★) indicates a representative from the government will be participating. An (R) designates an R Street policy expert is a panelist.
