R Street Executive Director Erica Schoder Named 2026–2027 SNF Agora Visiting Fellow

R Street Institute Executive Director and co-founder Erica Schoder has been named a 2026–2027 Visiting Fellow at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University.

Schoder joins an 11-member cohort of journalists, artists, scholars, media producers and policy leaders who will explore some of the most pressing questions confronting democracy, citizenship and civic life. A majority of this year’s fellows will focus on the theme of “Democracy and the Media,” examining how media institutions and emerging technologies shape public understanding and democratic participation.

During the fellowship, Schoder will develop design principles for the media infrastructure through which people form opinions and reason across differences. She will also convene practitioners confronting related governance challenges to examine how those principles can be applied in practice.
