How federal funding is being used to secure Alabama’s election systems

A new report released today by the Brennan Center takes a look at how six states, including Alabama, are using federal grant money to better secure their elections systems.
The report also points out areas where additional federal funding and resources would help better protect states from a cyber attack.
WVTM 13 looked at the report, spoke with one of the coauthors, and talked with Alabama Secretary of State Jon Merrill about security ahead of 2020.
