The Senate Commerce Committee will mark up the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (S-1693) during its Wednesday executive session, as expected (see 1710270058). S-1693 has significant bipartisan support in the Senate, but several public interest and tech sector groups, including the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Center for Democracy & Technology, FreedomWorks and the R Street Institute, criticized it (see 1710300064).
