With the next Farm Bill looming, House and Senate Agriculture committees seem concerned only with the interests of “Big-Ag.” But other voices across the ideological spectrum—from taxpayers to environmental advocates to consumers—believe the current farm-support system needs reform, and they have been ignored.

Please join us, and these unheeded voices, for a groundbreaking national policy summit on Farm Bill reform Wednesday, October 4, at Hillsdale College’s Kirby Center in Washington, with opening remarks by Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) and Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ).

Summit attendees will examine the current state of the agriculture economy and political landscape, lay out concerns with the current farm-support system and identify shared principles that will guide lawmakers as they craft the next farm bill. Farm policy issues are non-partisan and affect us all. In this spirit, the forum will allow groups on both sides of the aisle to work together for solutions.

This summit is co-hosted by R Street Institute, National Taxpayers Union, Taxpayers for Common Sense, The Heritage Foundation, U.S. Public Interest Research Group, Heartland Institute, Citizens Against Government Waste, Club for Growth, Campaign for Liberty and Taxpayers Protection Alliance.
