WASHINGTON (Nov. 19, 2019) – On Monday, the R Street Institute welcomed Mazen Saleh as its new associate vice president of policy management.

In this new role, Saleh will oversee the execution and financial performance of policy departments and will coach, mentor and lead the staff at the pragmatic, center-right think tank.

“We are very excited to add Mazen to the R Street team,” said R Street President Eli Lehrer. “He brings a wealth of nonprofit knowledge and management experience with him that will complement and enhance R Street’s already excellent work.”

Saleh most recently served as senior business director for the National League for Nursing (NLN), where he was responsible for shifting the organization to a mission-aligned business model. Prior to the NLN, he was the director of business strategy and development for the Association of American Medical Colleges.

“It is exciting to take the helm of policy management at the R Street Institute––working with an innovative and entrepreneurial team of experts across the spectrum of public policy research,” said Saleh. “With much of a career spent in nonprofit management, I am thrilled at the opportunity to contribute to their growing success.”

R Street was founded in 2012 as a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization with the mission to engage in research and outreach to promote free markets and limited, effective government. In addition to its D.C. headquarters, it has offices in Georgia, Texas, Ohio, California and Massachusetts.
