Kara Stoller

Kara Stoller is responsible for implementing a coordinated fundraising strategy for the Governance and Criminal Justice and Civil Liberties programs and aligning donor interests with program strategy.

Prior to R Street, she was the CEO of the Steamboat Springs Chamber whose mission is to enable businesses to thrive through economic, community, and destination development. Internally, she led a cross-functional team to organizational success while cultivating individual potential. Externally, she convened key stakeholders to identify and strategize around shared goals.

In advance of her role as CEO, she was the marketing director at the same organization. She created national marketing strategies and destination management plans to drive visitation while caring for the environment and people in the region.

Kara lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado with her husband, nine-year-old daughter, and five-year-old black mouth cur pup, Henrietta.
