About Emily

Emily Temple oversees all of R Street’s publications and editorial functions. This includes overall departmental strategy; supervision of the editorial staff; organizational risk management and quality control; maintenance and enforcement of the editorial calendar, style guide, and submission and workflow processes; the editing of all R Street content; and conducting periodic research and editorial training for R Street policy analysts and editorial staff.

Prior to joining R Street, Emily was the senior production editor with Mascot Books. She also spent time as a professor at Emerson College as a qualitative researcher, specializing in ethnographic research, on various international, longitudinal studies.

Emily has a BFA in acting and women’s and gender studies from Pace University, an MA in arts education and qualitative research from Emerson College, and a PhD in qualitative research and education from the University of Warwick.
