Ernst and Gardner in separate interviews say they continue to advocate for the bill’s passage. Free-market advocates at the R Street Institute and other groups penned an open letter last month touting the regulatory reform as “an important first step” in knocking down “needlessly burdensome” hurdles to contraceptive access.
