Pai rallies conservative forces for net neutrality fight
The chairman hired Nathan Leamer in March from R Street Institute to work as a policy adviser and help with outreach to conservatives. Leamer is working to build relationships with groups outside the usual telecom policy wonks and coordinated a big-tent meeting between Pai and several right-of-center organizations in the lead-up to the chairman’s net neutrality speech. Leamer declined comment.
“Nathan is doing a great job of reaching out to all the conservative civil society groups,” said Zach Graves, R Street’s technology policy program director.
