About Jana
Jana Krien is a business development manager supporting R Street’s Integrated Harm Reduction, Criminal Justice and Civil Liberties, and Project for Women and Families portfolios.
Before joining R Street, Jana managed development efforts and operations at the DowntownDC Foundation, where she secured support for programs focused on homelessness, public space revitalization, and community engagement. Prior to that, she played a key role in supporting clinic onboarding and operations at an artificial intelligence-driven healthcare startup.
Jana studied molecular and cellular biology at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in sunny San Diego, California, with her husband; their rescue pittie, Nala; and their orange cat, Charles.
