States must ‘keep delivering’ amid new Trump AI order
“More limited, incremental, risk-based governance approaches make far more sense both for normative and practical reasons,” Adam Thierer, a resident senior fellow at the right-leaning R Street Institute, said during a January event hosted by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation. “The focus of technology policy should be on concrete, identifiable, real-world harms not hypothetical worst-case scenarios and open-ended fantasies that might be pulled from the pages of science fiction novels or television shows.”
