A strange bedfellows mix of conservative and liberal groups today will propose saving Uncle Sam $750 billion by “ending environmentally-harmful federal subsidies.” The group, Green Scissors 2012, includes Friends of the Earth, Taxpayers for Common Sense and free-market think tank the R Street Institute.
