Our friends at the Union of Concerned Scientists, who recently published a fascinating report on how climate change and rising sea levels could impact the flood insurance, held a Sept. 24 telephone briefing with media about reforms to the National Flood Insurance Program. Moderated by Rachel Cleetus, UCS senior climate economist, the briefing featured presentations and Q&A with Erwann Michel-Kerjan, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Risk Center;  Ben Strauss, vice president for climate impacts and director of the Program on Sea Level Rise at Climate Central; and our own R.J. Lehmann of the R Street Institute.
