Former Program Manager, Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats

About Daria

Daria Bahrami was the program manager for Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats. She managed and supported a variety of projects within the Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats department, involving supply chain security, critical infrastructure policy and the #MakingSpace cyber diversity initiative.

She previously worked at the National Geographic Society, most recently as a foundation relations specialist. Prior to her time at the Society, she worked as a barista at Philz Coffee and fed her coffee addiction while supporting herself through college.

She has volunteered for several military cyber and ethical artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives, which is what ultimately led her to realize this field is where her true passion lies. Some of these experiences include founding and leading a Fellows program for the Military Cyber Professionals Association and developing fair digital business policy recommendations for the 2020 U.N. Internet Governance Forum.

She attended Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and studied military, cyber and space security policy.

Daria lives in Alexandria, VA.
