About Bruce
Bruce Babcock is a professor of public policy at UC-Riverside. His work for R Street focused on agriculture and insurance. His research evaluated agricultural and energy policies with a particular focus on crop insurance and biofuels.
Prior to joining the faculty at UC Riverside, Bruce was a professor of economics at Iowa State University where he was director of the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development and the Bio-based Industry Center.
Bruce received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UC Davis and a doctorate in agricultural and resource economics from UC-Berkeley.
