WASHINGTON (Feb. 1, 2016) – The R Street Institute is pleased to welcome C. Jarrett Dieterle as governance project fellow, working alongside R Street Governance Policy Director Kevin R. Kosar.

Dieterle previously worked as a regulatory attorney at a Washington law firm. In that role, he advised private companies on how to navigate complex regulatory regimes, as well as helping them to challenge overreaching regulations. His practice also included appellate advocacy, including co-authoring several Supreme Court amicus briefs. Prior to that position, he clerked for a federal judge on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

“Jarrett is a welcome addition to R Street’s efforts on governance reform,” said R Street Institute President Eli Lehrer. “It is more important than ever, during this period of post-election transition, to have capable voices championing the vision of a federal government that is efficient, transparent, and observant of our system of checks and balances. Jarrett’s contribution will be vital, in that regard.”

“I am excited to be joining the R Street team ,” said Dieterle. “R Street’s principled, pragmatic approach to a constrained, but effective federal government that reflects the design envisioned in our Constitution is laudable.”

Jarrett earned his bachelor’s from the University of Richmond, with a major in political science and minor in economics. He received his juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center.

Jarrett currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and their Australian shepherd, Pepper.
