WVU hosts panel to discuss fake news
Fake news has been around for awhile now, but it’s been spreading like wild fire on social sites.
With this said, folks are finding it hard to decipher what’s real and what’s not.WVU held a panel of journalists and thought leaders to discuss strategies on how to handle fake news.
Panelist included founder of Snopes.com David Mikkelson, Huffington Post Senior Politics Editor, Paige Lavender, Associated Press Urban Affairs reporter Errin Haines Whack, Technology Policy Program Director for R Street Institute Zach Graves, and Assistant Professor of Communication Studies Elizabeth Cohen of WVU.
