WASHINGTON (October 18) – The R Street Institute today announced the addition of Tony Mills as associate vice president of policy.

Prior to his arrival at R Street, Tony was managing editor of RealClear Media Group and the editor of RealClearPolicy. He has worked for numerous publications, including The New Atlantis, Big Questions Online and several peer-reviewed, academic publications. Previously, he held positions at Williams & Jensen, the Manhattan Institute and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

“Tony Mills is a top-rate mind,” said Vice President of Policy, Kevin Kosar. “He will help our already stellar policy teams achieve even greater excellence.”

Tony’s writings on politics, policy, science, technology, philosophy and religion have appeared in various RealClearproperties as well as such publications as Slate, Pacific Standard, City Journal, First Things, The New Atlantisand several peer-reviewed journals. A scholar associate of the Society of Catholic Scientists, he is currently writing a book about science and philosophy.

Mills received a bachelor’s in philosophy, French, and comparative literature from Northwestern University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa. He also completed master’s work in French at Northwestern and earned a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame.

He lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with his wife and son.
