Pressure mounts on tech giants to cut oil ties
“We’re just not producing AI specialists at the rate that demand is asking for them,” said Caleb Watney, an expert in AI policy at the center-right R Street Institute. “They’re in such short supply and they command such high salaries that you really can’t afford to ignore their demands. They each have a lot more internal leverage in terms of deciding what kind of products they are going to work on or not.”
