We need a commission to figure out what has radicalized so many Americans that thousands of them would journey to Washington at the behest of a politician who openly sought to stop Congress from validating the results of the election. We need to understand what is going on in a society where millions of people — including two-thirds of Republicans, according to a recent poll from the R Street Institute, a free markets group — believe the 2020 election was invalid despite all evidence to the contrary.
