“DOE’s electricity work requires more external cooperation and broader and deeper technical expertise than ever before,” said Devin Hartman, director of Energy and Environmental Policy at the R Street Institute. “Maria has a rare blend of electricity stakeholder collaboration experience with industry expertise across electric markets, transmission and security issues.” Her nomination is not a done deal, a source close to Robinson said, but could come any day now. DOE and the White House declined to comment.
