FREE TRADE GROUPS PAN DRUG SUPPLY CHAIN PROPOSALS: A pair of market-oriented policy groups, the American Action Forum and R Street, released new papers on Wednesday criticizing many of the current efforts in the Trump administration and Congress to bring drug manufacturing supply chains back to the United States.

Congressional activity: R Street analysts Clark Packard and Bill Watson looked at similar Buy American proposals in Congress [2] and concluded there are better ways to ensure the security of the U.S. supply chain for medicines and to provide incentives to re-shore some portions of it.
