From Forbes [1]:
Rallying behind the bill was a strikingly diverse coalition of supporters [2], including trade associations like CompTIA, Texas Realtors, and the Texas Association of Manufacturers; the state chapters of the American Federation of Teachers, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and United Way; the left-leaning Center for Public Policy Priorities; and free market advocates, like the Institute for Justice, the Texas Public Policy Foundation, Texas Conservative Coalition, and R Street Institute. In the end, SB 37 only received two votes against it in the Texas Senate before it unanimously passed the state House of Representatives.
