Christina Delgado


Christina Delgado is justice policy manager for the R Street Institute, where she focuses primarily on criminal justice reform issues and assists the national security and justice policy director with surveillance and privacy issues as they relate to national security. She also dedicates a portion of her attention to trade policy issues.

Christina joined R Street in May 2017 from FreedomWorks, where she was a policy analyst handling a portfolio of issues that included trade, surveillance, data privacy, defense and criminal justice reform.

Earlier in her career, she was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, where she handled general law-enforcement duties while stationed to a USCG cutter and land units. While in law school, Christina interned with the U.S. Consulate in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the U.S. Mission to the European Union, where she directly assisted the U.S. trade representative’s EU principal.

She has a bachelor’s in government and international relations from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and graduated from the St. Thomas University School of Law. She also completed a law school semester abroad at the University of Oxford, studying EU law and Law of the Seas.

Christina lives in Washington with her corgi, Lola, and her cat, Pepper.
