WASHINGTON (May 8, 2017) – The R Street Institute announced that Clark Packard and Easton Randall will join the institute’s outreach team, helping to advance R Street’s policy agenda with relevant federal policy makers in Congress and the executive branch.

Clark joins R Street from the National Taxpayers Union, where he was counsel and government affairs manager, serving as the organization’s point person on trade and financial services policy and providing legal counsel to the organization’s senior officers. Before joining NTU, Clark was an attorney and budget and policy adviser for South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. During law school and shortly thereafter, he worked as a budget and policy adviser to then-South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

Easton was most recently deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga. He previously served as government affairs manager for FreedomWorks.

“I’m simply delighted with the one-two punch Clark and Easton pack as the newest additions to the outreach team,” said President Eli Lehrer. “We’ve always had deep, lasting legislative connections with the Hill and these two strong additions will ensure R Street policy stays in front of Congress for years to come.”
